Tomorrow we ride
I can’t remember if was in Episode 3 of the Sewing Room Club podcast (don’t go looking for it, it never made it online) or wrote it somewhere (in drafts?) but I do remember saying to NOT attempt to create a quilt in a month because while you might be able to do it, it is a road to Crazy Town.
So I need to make a quilt to gift by Friday 3 May.
Yes, today is Friday 19 April.
That’s not even a month. That’s actually two weeks - I only just figured that out here, in real time. I actually thought her birthday was in June so in MY mind I had more time than two weeks.
<insert mini freak-out here>
Of course, I don’t have to gift a quilt to my cousin for her 21st birthday present. Of course I don’t. But I’d like to. I’d actually like to blow.her.mind. with this quilt. So yeh, it’s an ego thing. It’s a Tula Pink quilt so it’s spectacular.

Taking stock
- I have a pattern.
- I have fabric.
- Half the fabric is cut out and ready to go.
- It’s foundation paper pieced and the paper is printed and ready to go.
- Canary Quilts has made this quilt so I have access to a video series of instructions.
- I have two whole weekends
- I have nine after work days
<insert shaky sigh here>
Tonight I do all my chores; tidy the house; fold the laundry. Because that’s how a procrastinator rolls, don’tcha know.
Tomorrow we ride!
